Has been providing African and Caribbean cuisines with a distinctive service for over 15 years under the charge of an artistic, exceptional talented and Professionally Trained Head Chef, Solomon Quartey who has over 20 years’ experience in the catering industry.

Cooking only with the freshest ingredients from the finest produce and meat markets in London, our delicious cuisine is a fusion of rich aroma, delectable flavours with depths of colour and texture.

We pride ourselves in offering creative and innovative culinary delights whilst embracing the traditional and contemporary African, Australasian and Continental cuisines. These pioneering fusion of cultures and cuisines has made us so successful with stellar reputation throughout the United Kingdom and beyond.

At King Solomon’s Catering, we have a team of talented African and Caribbean Chefs, Professional and courteous Event Managers and Front of house teams who are customer focused ensuring that excellent level of customer services are delivered at all times to our clients and their guests.

Solomon Quartey, Head Chef & CEO

Having always had a passion for food, in his late teens Solomon entered a catering competition in Ghana and won a prestigious scholarship to study Culinary Art. The scholarship entailed spending three months each in the UK, Canada and Australia, which gave him an invaluable education in professional catering and an incredible life experience.

Back in Ghana, he was snapped up by a local restaurant, working his way up before being headhunted by the Ghanaian High Commission to become their in-house chef, managing all the catering for local and visiting dignitaries.

Solomon was asked to relocate to London to continue to work as Head Chef for the Ghanaian High Commission. In London, he studies for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Culinary Art. More and more people were asking him to cater for them and, as word of mouth spread and the requests increased, the natural next step was for Solomon to start his own catering business.

Having travelled the world and been fortunate to work with many different chefs and 5 star establishments, Solomon has enjoyed bringing everything he’s learned to his kitchen.

He challenges the misconceptions of Afro-Caribbean food stereotypes, experimenting with Pan Asian fusions and coming up with fresh, appealing and innovative ways to serve the traditional, beloved dishes he grew up with.

Even an exceptionally talented chef is only as good as the ingredients they work with, and Solomon ensures that King Solomon’s Catering uses the freshest foods from the finest produce and meat markets in London.

Ronke, Business Consultant

Ronke is a wedding and Events expert with nearly 20 years’ experience. She is a people person who thrives on giving our clients excellent customer service. She has built strong relationships with many beautiful venues and manages these relationships with her warmth and infectious enthusiasm.

She is warm and approachable, making our clients feel comfortable and asking all the right questions to fulfil their brief and deliver the perfect event for them. Without being overbearing, Ronke is also happy to suggest ideas that her clients may not have thought of.

As well as consulting for the hospitality industry, Ronke runs Bliss Nuptials and Events, a holistic wedding management and planning services exclusively for couples who are looking for a relaxed and burden free wedding planning journey.

Isaiah, Event Manager

Isaiah, also affectionately called “Ice” by family, friends and client has over twenty years’ experience in events and hospitality industry as Event Operations Manager. He is known for his joyful smile and nature, his hardworking values and a tenacity for excellent service.

Ice is driven by the joy that comes from seeing his clients smile before, during and after a well-executed event. He has managed high profile events locally in the UK for President and Vice President of Ghana and also internationally in Nigeria and Ireland.

Ice is a loving husband and father of 3 beautiful children. He is also the founder and CEO of Iceman Services, a drinks management company servicing the events industry.

Sacha, Catering Manager

Sacha’s is responsible for scheduling staffs, coordinating food presentation and service during events. She is very detail-oriented ensuring that our staff exude a professional, happy disposition, truly enjoying being at your event and serving your guests, yet at the same time discreetly blending into the background.

Ronke is a people person who thrives on giving our clients excellent customer service. She is warm and approachable, making our clients feel comfortable and asking all the right questions to fulfil their brief and deliver the perfect event for them. Without being overbearing, Ronke is also happy to suggest ideas that her clients may not have thought of.

No request is too big or too small, and nothing is impossible. Our years of experience running a huge variety of events mean that we can handle anything that comes our way, staying calm and efficient and ensuring that your event runs smoothly.

We have also built strong relationships with many beautiful venues that we can recommend to you if that would be helpful.
